Bishkek, Dec.20, 2019. /Kabar/. Implementation of the second phase of the Safe City project will start in May 2020, Chairman of the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communications (SCITC) of the Kyrgyz Republic Dastan Dogoyev said at the press conference in Bishkek.
The chairman added currently on the part of the project implementer, that is, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, work has been carried out to survey all sites where installation is planned.
"In January 2020, the first test equipment will be installed. The launch of complexes throughout the country will begin in May 2020," he said.
Note that within the framework of the implementation of the Safe City project’s second phase, the tender committee announced the winner Shenzhen Sunwin Intelligent Co. Ltd. Chinese company. It offered the lowest price for implementation of the project – KGS 2 billion 654.558 million (USD 38 million dollars).
The winner of the tender for the implementation of the second phase of the Safe City project should install hardware and software systems (HSS) in 7 oblasts of the republic, the cities of Bishkek and Osh. According to the technical task, the largest number of HSS will be installed in Bishkek and Osh - 46 and 34 respectively. Also more than 30 hardware and software systems will work on Bishkek-Osh highway.
Thus, the second stage of the Safe City project will cover the whole country. After signing the contract, the contractor must obtain permits within two years and install hardware and software systems.
SCITC plans to launch the project in full by 2020.
