Implementation plan for judicial reform for 2019 presented to Kyrgyz President

Bishkek, Dec. 27, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has four main activities to carry out in the coming year as part of the reform of the judicial and legal system, Deputy Prime Minister Jenish Razakov told at a meeting of the Judicial Reform Council on Thursday.

He said that the Government had approved the following activities:

- implementation of the plan for the criminal direction;

- state bodies have their core legislation to revise in accordance with the adopted changes;

- conducting work of the two offices:

1 - on the basis of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic, which will monitor the situation in the Single Register of Crimes and Offenses;

2 - on the basis of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which will monitor the situation in the Single Register of Violations;

- Manage the work of hotlines in these headquarters.

In general, he indicated that judicial reform activities will be held until 2023 for five years.

The meeting of the Judicial Reform Council is held at Ala-Archa state residence chaired by President Sooronbay Jeenbekov. It involves 20 members of the Council. Two are absent for valid reasons. There are two items on the agenda:

- on the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic on Particular Measures Taken within the Framework of the Ongoing Judicial Reform dated May 22, 2018 No. 124;

- consideration of the presentation and discussion of new draft laws of the Kyrgyz Republic.
