Bishkek, Feb. 22, 2022. / Kabar /. Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Yerulan Zhamaubayev spoke about the consequences of strengthening administration on the border with China, Kazinform reported.
“In connection with the strengthening of administration at the border with China, there is an overflow of imports of goods from China to Kyrgyzstan. Since the beginning of this year, there has been a 5-fold increase in Chinese imports to Kyrgyzstan, and a 2.5-fold increase in imports from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan,” Yerulan Zhamaubayev said at a government meeting.
In addition, he said that about 900 vehicles are now expected to administration relax on the border with China, and 1,200 in temporary storage warehouses.
"Since the beginning of the year, receipts of customs payments and taxes at border posts have been reduced by 23%, and the volume - by 26%," the minister said.
