Bishkek, Feb. 21 / Kabar /. In 2016 the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia amounted to $ 1 billion 50 million, Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov told at the international conference "Russia-Kyrgyzstan Partnership, aimed at the future (security, economic, humanitarian cooperation)".
He said that, the total external trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan amounted to $ 5 billion 467 million.
"It turns out that trade with Russia amounts to 1/5 of the total number. Without export of gold, this figure is 40%. The main branches of exports are the supply of garments and its accessories and food products. On the other hand, export of oil products made by 36%, food - 13%, black and non-ferrous metals - 12.5%, chemical products - 9.7%, " he said.
Also, Oleg Pankratov said that diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia were established on 20 March 1992.
"I would like to note that 200 agreements were signed between the two countries in 25 years. An important is the contact between the two presidents, prime ministers of the two countries. We are pleased that this month it is expected Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Kyrgyzstan. Now we are considering the Kyrgyz Almazbek Atambayev's visit to Russia," he added.
