Bishkek, May 12, 2020. /Kabar/. In January-December 2019, gross output of agriculture, forestry and fisheries at current prices was produced for the amount of KGS 220.0 billion. At the same time, the growth rate to the level of 2018 made 102.6%, the press service of the Government’s Office reported.
The growth in gross output of agriculture is provided by the increase in plant production by 2.6% (KGS 110.5 billion) and livestock production by 2.5% (KGS 103.9 billion).
In 2019, the total area under crops in the country as a whole made 1,216,700 hectares and increased by 1,800 hectares, or 0.1%, compared to the previous year.
As of Jan. 1, 2020, 1,481 economic entities have drip irrigation systems installed on the area of 2,448.8 ha, including in 2019 - 91 economic entities have drip irrigation on the area of 76.9 ha.
A total of 2,536 greenhouses of various types have been built throughout the country. The area of greenhouses is 203.4 hectares. Compared to 2018, the number of greenhouses (2451) has increased by 85, the area occupied by them (173.1 ha) by 30.3 ha (15 % increase).
