Despite external and internal factors, in 2019 it was possible to maintain a positive growth trend in the national economy, Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Sanjar Mukanbetov told at a meeting of the Government speaking about preliminary results of the socio-economic development of the republic for 2019 and the tasks for 2020.
“According to preliminary data for the end of 2019, the volume of GDP amounted to KGS 590.0 billion, and the real growth rate was 4.5% (in 2018 - 3.8%). Economic growth was ensured by all sectors of the economy: in agriculture, volumes actually increased by 2.6%, construction - by 10.6%, industry - by 6.9%, and services - by 2.9%,” the press service of the government said citing Sanjar Mukanbetov.
Minister of Economics Sanjar Mukanbetov drew attention to the fact that the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic continues to implement the program "Financing of Agriculture".
“According to last year’s results, 9,977 agricultural producers received soft loans, including for the purchase of equipment on lease, for a total amount of KGS 5.1 billion. Another good help was the creation of entrepreneurship support centers in regions. Effective support for the business was the announcement of a moratorium on business inspection,” he said.
According to him, positive changes are observed in the construction industry.
“According to the results of the year, capital investments amounted to KGS 161.8 billion. At the same time, the construction industry simplifies the procedures for issuing permits,” said Mukanbetov.
