In 2019 Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund approves projects for almost $78 mln

Bishkek, Jan.28, 2020./Kabar/. Last year, the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) has approved projects worth $77.5 million, or 1.8 times more than in 2018, Chairman of the RKDF Board Erkin Asrandiyev said on Tuesday during the press conference in Bishkek.

According to him, 2 thousand 351 projects worth $379 million were approved for the entire period of the Fund's activity.

"We fund large projects ourselves, and small and medium-sized businesses through partner banks. We have 15 banks and 4 microfinance organizations working with us, as well as the Guarantee Fund. We have directly financed 57 projects worth $202 million. Almost 2 thousand 300 subjects of small and medium businesses are financed through our partners," the chairman said.

Asrandiyev assured 83% of resources were directed to the regions, although in the first years of the Fund's operation more than half of the resources were concentrated in Bishkek and around the capital.

"Last year, there were many applications. The total amount of approvals for 2019 was US $77.5million, or 1.8 times more than the year before last," the RKFD head concluded.
