In 2020, fewer marriages and divorces registered in Kyrgyzstan compared to 2019

Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2021. /Kabar/. The State Registration Service of Kyrgyzstan provided statistics for the 12 months of 2020.

According to the report from the Service, 39 thousand 944 couples married in Kyrgyzstan last year.

In 2019, civil registry offices registered 49 thousand 395 newlyweds, which is 9 thousand 451 more than in 2020.

Last year, 9 thousand 150 couples dissolved their relationship. 10 thousand 995 families divorced for the same period of 2019, which is 1 thousand 845 more.

Thus, there were more marriage and divorce registrations in 2019 than in 2020.
