In 2020 Kyrgyzstan to spend almost KGS 29B to repay state debt

Bishkek, Mar.16, 2020. /Kabar/. In January-February 2020, KGS 5 billion 362 million were actually allocated from the republican budget for servicing the public debt (external and domestic).

According to the Finance Ministry’s press service, of these funds:

KGS 1,655.5 million were allocated on state external debt;

KGS 3,706.5 million-on state domestic.

In 2020 it is planned to allocate KGS 28,818.8 million for servicing the state debt of the Kyrgyz Republic.

External debt servicing expenses in 2020 will amount to KGS 16,163.3 million, including KGS 4,328.7 million (26.8%) on interest and KGS 11,834.6 million (73.2%) on principal.

In 2020, it is planned to allocate KGS 12,655.5 million to service domestic debt, of which KGS 4,093.2 million (32.3%) will be allocated for interest, and KGS 8,562.3 million (67.7%) for the principal.
