Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2023 / Kabar/. In 2022, the number of unemployed in Kyrgyzstan decreased by 5%, which amounted to 142.6 thousand people, the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration said.
The overall unemployment rate last year was 5.3%.
The ministry noted that the level of official unemployment registered in the republic remained at the level of 2.9% of the economically active population. The level of official unemployment is slightly higher than in the whole country in Batken and Jalal-Abad regions.
