In 2024, we plan to keep inflation at 5-7% - deputy minister of economy of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2024 /Kabar/. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce together with the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan plan to continue work to reduce inflation in 2024, Deputy Minister of Economy Choro Seitov told today at a press conference at Kabar Agency.

“Inflation decreased from 14% to 7% - I rounded this up. In 2024, together with the National Bank, we plan to continue reducing it to approximately to 5-7%,” he said.

According to data on the National Bank’s website, inflation by the end of last year was 7.3% - this is December 2023 to December 2022. By the end of 2022, the figure was 14.7%.
