Bishkek, Mar.2, 2020./Kabar/. Bishkek police officers will patrol the city heavily until morning, Bakyt Seitov, head of the Interior Ministry' press service said.
"The protest action was first held in a peaceful manner, but after some time there were provocations. As a result of dispersal, the windows of cars and windows of shops were broken. The organizers promised that everything will be peaceful. Now they and the provocateurs will have to repair the damage to the victims and answer according to the law. The police will work all night. The exact number of detainees is being specified. In the morning we will give full information,” said Seitov.
Today, the protesters in the central square of Bishkek, supporters of the convicted former deputy of the Kyrgyz Parliament Sadyr Zhaparov didn’t want to leave the protest action and close to evening headed towards the Parliament building.
The protesters started to throw stones towards the police cordon, which surrounded the building. After, the law enforcement officers used a water cannon, tear gas and noise guarantors to disperse the demonstrators.
