Bishkek, Feb, 3, 2023 / Kabar/. In Bishkek, the shadow turnover of cryptocurrency daily ranges from 5 million to 10 million dollars, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov told at the annual international forum "Digital Almaty" in Almaty (Kazakhstan).
He said that the restrictions imposed on the banking sector have given a significant impetus to the development of cryptocurrency in the region.
“According to experts, the volume of shadow turnover only in Bishkek ranges daily from 5 million to 10 million dollars. Our large manufacturers, the same representatives of the light industry, are using stablecoins with might and main for mutual settlements with customers and suppliers of raw materials in Russia and China,” he said.
Stablecoin is a token with a fixed exchange rate. Most often, quotes of such coins are tied to the dollar.
