Bishkek, Jan. 14, 2021. /Kabar/. In 2020, 15,119 married couples were registered in Kyrgyzstan in the Shariah (Nikah) marriage registration log, the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan reported on Thursday.
Nikah is performed only with identity documents and only to citizens over 18 years old.
Earlier, the State Registration Service of the republic reported that 34,905 marriage certificates were issued during the first 11 months of 2020.
