Bishkek, Sept. 14, 2021 . / Kabar / . In 2021, fires in Kyrgyzstan increased by 29.8% compared to 2020, the press service of the republic’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said Tuesday.
1,966 fires were recorded on the territory of the country for 8 months of 2021 (1,515 in 2020), the growth in number of fires made 29.8% in comparison with the last year.
The main causes of fires are:
- Violation of the rules of installation of electrical equipment - 783 (24.5%);
- Improper installation of heating stoves and chimneys - 189 (35.0%);
- Careless handling of fire - 320 (2.2%);
- Carelessness of children with fire - 109 (109%).
The biggest number of fires were registered in Chui Oblast of Kyrgyzstan – 494, while the lowest number – in Talas Oblast – 60.
