In Kyrgyzstan, poverty rate decrease by 37.3% compared to 2000

Bishkek, Aug. 20, 2021 . / Kabar / . In Kyrgyzstan, the poverty rate made 25.3%, and decreased by 37.3 percentage points compared to 2000, a collection of the National Statistics Committee "30 Years of Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic” runs.

According to the document, the welfare of the population of the republic is measured on the basis of an integrated sample survey of the budgets of 5016 households.

The results of the survey show that the poverty level in 2020, calculated on the basis of consumer expenditures, was 25.3% in the country as a whole and compared to 2000 declined by 37.3 percentage points.

Per capita disposable income in 2020 was KGS 67 504,22 per annum and increased by 37,3 times compared to 1995.

The main sources of cash income of the population in 2020 were incomes from labor activity, the share of which in the structure of disposable income was 67.4%, incomes from sale of agricultural products produced in private subsidiary plots - 11.9% and incomes from social transfers - 16.7%.
