In Kyrgyzstan, retail prices for meat increased on average of 27%

Bishkek, April 23, 2021 . / Kabar / . In Kyrgyzstan, retail prices for meat increased on average of 27%, the National Statistics Committee of the country said on Friday.

The results of daily monitoring of average consumer prices in settlements of the country showed that as of April 22, the national average price of beef made KGS 450.31 ($5) and compared to the same date last year rose by KGS 89.11, or almost 25%, and prices for mutton, respectively, amounted to KGS 449.67 and in comparison with the same period in 2020, increased by 29%.

Meanwhile, the maximum retail prices for beef were observed in Naryn town (KGS 460 per kg), and the minimum prices were recorded in Isfana town of Batken Oblast (KGS 409.88 per kg).

Retail prices for mutton exceeded the national average in the towns of Jalal-Abad and Isfana (KGS 500 per kg), and the minimum prices were registered in Karakol town of Issyk-Kul Oblast (KGS 450 per kg).

The largest increase in prices for beef compared to the same date last year was recorded in Nookat, Kerben, Uzgen towns, where they increased by 1.3 times, and for mutton - in Isfana, Batken and Jalal-Abad town - by 1.4 times.
