In Kyrgyzstan, retail prices for meat rose by 22% over year

Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2021 . / Kabar / . In Kyrgyzstan, retail prices for meat increased by an average of 22 percent over the year, the National Statistics Committee of the republic said Thursday.

Retail prices for beef averaged KGS 478.1 (about USD 5) throughout the country and increased by KGS 77.9, or almost 20% compared to the same date last year. Prices for mutton, respectively, amounted to KGS 484.7 per kg (USD 5.7) and increased by almost 25% compared to the same period in 2020.

Meanwhile, the highest retail prices for beef were recorded in Osh and Kara-Suu cities – KGS 500/kg and Bishkek city – KGS 481.3 per 1 kg, and the lowest figures were observed in Toktogul town – KGS 410/kg.

Retail prices for mutton exceeded the national average in Kara-Suu town – KGS 550/kg, Osh – KGS 525/kg, and the lowest prices were observed in Pokrovka village – KGS 430/kg, Karakol, Toktogul and Chaek villages – KGS 450/kg.
