Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2020. /Kabar/. In three regions of Kyrgyzstan, the situation with COVID-19 is worrying, Sabirzhan Abdikarimov, the Health Minister of the republic told a daily news briefing Tuesday.
According to his data, on Sept. 7-11, the disease was registered in 7 people across the republic per 100 thousand of population.
However, during this period, in Batken and Issyk-Kul Oblasts and in the city of Bishkek the infection was revealed in 19,11 and 11 people, respectively.
"These high rates in these three regions are worrying," the minister said.
Kyrgyzstan has reported 44,999 COVID-19 so far, including 41,103 recoveries and 1,603 fatalities.
The first case of novel coronavirus was detected in the republic on March 18.
In total 337,073 PCR tests were carried out in Kyrgyzstan since the pandemic.
