Bishkek, May 3, 2020 / Kabar /. 7 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Kyrgyzstan among medical personnel past day, taking the total number to 207, head of the public health department of the Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova told Sunday.
She said that 139 were discharged from hospitals with recoveries, one doctor have passed away yesterday.
While Akmatova was reporting about the deceased colleague who was diagnosed with COVID-19, her eyes filmed with tears.
The representative of the Health Ministry expressed condolences to the relatives and friends of 58 years old Zhuzumkan Kokumbaeva, who was the head of the Family Physicians Group in Bishkek.
“Kokumbaeva has worked in the healthcare organization for more than 30 years and brought up more than one generation of medical workers,” Akmatova said.
The family of the deceased doctor will be paid compensation in the amount of KGS 1 million, she added.
26 new COVID-19 cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan on May 3 morning, totaling to 795.
564 citizens were cured and discharged from hospitals, including 139 medical workers. Ten have passed away.
