Bishkek, Oct. 24, 2017 / Kabar /. The Central Election Commission is ready to announce the results of the presidential elections on October 28, Kairat Osmonaliev, member of the Central Election Commission, told Kabar Agency.
He said that the CEC finished receiving the protocols of all territorial election commissions on the results of voting in the election of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. "The Central Election Commission will once again check them and if everything goes well, by the end of the week we are already planning to announce the official results of the elections," Osmonaliev said.
Osmonaliev warned that by law the CEC has time until November 3 inclusive.
"After the official results are published in the media within 30 calendar days, the inauguration of the new president should take place," said the lawyer.
The presidential election was held on October 15. Sooronbai Zheenbekov was elected the new president of Kyrgyzstan.
