Inauguration of newly elected president of Kyrgyzstan may take place on Nov. 24

Bishkek, Nov. 1, 2017 / Kabar /. The inauguration of newly elected President Sooronbai Zheenbekov is expected to take place on November 24 at the Ala-Archa state residence in Bishkek, the presidential administration said. Other details are not yet reported.

The presidential elections were held in Kyrgyzstan on October 15.

On October 30, the Central Election Commission officially announced the results according to which Soboronbai Zheenbekov, nominated by the ruling party of the SDPK, received 54.22% of the vote, opposition candidate Omurbek Babanov - 33.49%. Adahan Madumarov, the leader of the Butun Kyrgyzstan party - 6.57%.

The term of President of Almazbek Atambayev ends on December 1 this year.
