Bishkek, June 2, 2020. /Kabar/. An incident involving the use of weapons occurred on June 2, 2020 on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border, the press service of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan reported Tuesday.
The incident took place in the area of Eki-Tash, Batken region of Batken Oblast around 1:20 a.m. Unknown persons from the Tajik side fired several shots with hunting weapons at the car of Kyrgyz citizen (1982 year of birth) who was travelling on the Osh-Isfana highway.
As a result, the driver received minor gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital in Samarkandek village.
Meeting of representatives of law enforcement agencies of the two countries took place at night.
Police officers are currently working on the spot, inspecting the area, cars and other investigative measures.
As of 10:00 a.m. on June 2 the situation at this section of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state is assessed as stable.
