Increase in consumer prices grow by 1.7% in Kyrgyzstan

In January-February 2022, the increase in consumer prices in Kyrgyzstan was 1.7% compared to December last year, head of the Department of Summary Works, Communications and Distribution of Statistical Information of the National Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan Chinara Turdubaeva told during a press conference in Bishkek on Thursday.

She noted that prices of food and soft drinks rose by 1.8%, alcohol and tobacco products - by 4.4%, tariffs for services provided to the population - 1.1%, prices for non-food products - 1.1%.

The specialist noted that the growth of consumer prices and tariffs were observed in all regions of the republic. However, the maximum increase in prices by 2.6% was observed in Naryn Oblast.
