Increase in consumer prices in Kyrgyzstan in January-February amounted to 2%

In January-February of this year, the increase in consumer prices in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 2% compared to December 2020, head of the Department of Economic Statistics and National Accounts Elvira Isenkulova told at a press conference in the National Statistics Committee.

According to her data, at the same time, prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 3.4%, for food products and non-alcoholic beverages - by 2.9%, for non-food products - by 0.8%, tariffs for services rendered to the population - by 0.8%.

“The increase in consumer prices and tariffs in February this year compared to the previous month was noted in all regions of the republic. The maximum growth of 1.7% was recorded in Naryn Oblast,” Isenkulova said.
