Tashkent, June 17, 2022. /Kabar/. 59 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Uzbekistan on June 16, including 45 in the capital city of Tashkent, the press service of the republic’s Health ministry reported Friday.
"This is the highest rate since mid-March. The increase in cases is observed for the third day in a row: 57 cases were detected on June 15 and 39 on June 14," the report said.
9 and 8 cases were revealed on Saturday and Sunday.
Uzbekistan’s total count of COVID-19 cases has reached 239,400 since the first case was revealed in March 2020.
No virus-related fatalities were reported for months. The total number of officially reported deaths remained at 1,637.
