Bishkek, Oct.22, 2019. /Kabar/. The incidence of upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) increases in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Ministry of Health reported.
Every year, since October, there has been a gradual increase in the incidence of URTI.
Thus, on Oct. 14-20, there was a slight increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections by 11.8% (3 thousand 453 registered against 3 thousand 43 cases in 2018).
According to the annual laboratory monitoring, viruses of non-fluvial etiology (human parainfluenza, adenoviruses, human respiratory syncytial virus) circulate in October and November. There is no laboratory confirmation of influenza cases.
Increased incident in Kyrgyzstan is typical for December with the peak of morbidity at the end of January and February of the next year.
