Bishkek, Feb. 28, 2022. / Kabar /. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev held a meeting with Minister of Commerce of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi.
During the talks, the sides discussed bilateral cooperation issues. In particular, they talked about the development of investment opportunities, increase of mutual trade turnover, expansion of tourism potential and logistics, the press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet reported.
Arzybek Kozhoshev noted that there is a visa-free regime for 60 days for citizens of Saud Arabia on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
The first deputy chairman of the Cabinet added that a charter flight on the Bishkek - Jeddah - Bishkek route has been launched for the first time since February this year.
"The opening of direct flights will help develop business contacts, strengthen mutual tourism, develop relations between the two nations and increase mutual trade turnover," Kozhoshev said.
In turn, Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi noted a great untapped potential between the two states for cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres.
"The trade turnover between our countries is insignificant, we have every opportunity to increase it," the KSA minister added.
At the end of the meeting, the deputy chairman and the minister expressed readiness for further mutually beneficial and constructive cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
