Bishkek, Feb. 15, 2022 . / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received on Tuesday Alok Dimri on the occasion of the completion of his mission of Indian Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that during the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the prospects for further cooperation in the promotion of topical issues and projects of bilateral cooperation, including the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of India on grant assistance for quick-impact projects and credit line allocated by the Indian government in the amount of $ 200 million.
Minister Kazakbaev noted that the Kyrgyz side is interested and ready to cooperate with India in implementing joint projects in IT technologies, pharmaceuticals, hydropower, tourism, mining, textile industry, production of agricultural organic products and education.
The sides also emphasized the importance and significance of interaction in multilateral formats, in particular within the India-Central Asia Dialogue, which was held early this year at the level of heads of states, and the 10th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in Bishkek in the near future. It was emphasized that at the suggestion of the Kyrgyz side the decision was made to establish the Secretariat of the India-Central Asia Dialogue in New Delhi.
In connection with the upcoming 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, it was agreed to hold a Cross Year of Friendship and Culture between Kyrgyzstan and India with the organization of cultural events, cultural days with inviting dance and artistic groups, as well as holding business forums.
At the end of the meeting, Kazakbaev thanked Alok Dimri for his fruitful work as Ambassador of India to Kyrgyzstan and wished him success in new post.
