Bishkek, Sept. 9, 2021. / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources and Regional Development Ilich Marsbek uulu received a business delegation from India on September 7, the ministry's press service reported.
At the meeting, the deputy minister briefed the delegation on the activities of the ministry. He noted that mutual trade in agriculture between the two countries is at a low level and the ministry is interested in exporting agricultural and organic products to India.
Ilich Marsbek uulu informed the delegation about the export of honey and beans to foreign countries and noted that recently beans are also exported to Pakistan and India.
“In India, there is a large digital system of rural areas“ E-Choupal ”and the Ministry is interested in adopting experience in this direction,” the deputy minister said.
President of the Indian Economic Trade Organization Asif Iqbal noted that the Indian side is interested not only in the mutual export of agricultural products, but also in the joint production of agricultural products with added value. He noted that it is possible to open an enterprise for processing honey in Kyrgyzstan, it can be exported to India, since it will be in demand there.
Also, Dr. Asif Iqbal noted that it is possible to build a plant for the production of veterinary drugs with organic composition. Following the meeting, representatives of the Indian delegation invited the Kyrgyz side to take part in a business summit to be held on September 10 in one of the hotels in Bishkek.
