Indian student dies in Kyrgyzstan after surgery operation

Bishkek, Feb. 26, 2018. / Kabar /. Indian student Kumar, born in 1988, died in Kyrgyzstan’s Osh city after a surgery operation, the press service of the Ministry of Health reported.

Kumar’s friend said that he was ill since the morning of Feb. 22.

The same day Kumar went to the Osh city hospital with complaints of severe pain in the epigastrium and right side of the abdominal area, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth. He was urgently hospitalized with a preliminary diagnosis: Peritonitis.

After that, a surgery operation was performed, where the acute pancreatic necrosis was revealed intraoperatively. After the operation, the patient was in the intensive care unit. However, on Feb. 22, a cardiac arrest took place and he was pronounced dead.

A forensic autopsy was performed. On this occasion, the Ministry of Health set up a commission to conduct an internal investigation.

Based on the work of the commission, additional information will be provided.
