Bishkek, July 30, 2024 . / Kabar /. Infant mortality continues to decline in Kyrgyzstan, according to the results of the new Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS).
The survey shows a continued decline in infant mortality, which is 15.6 per 1,000 live births, and under-five mortality, which is 16.5 per 1,000 live births.
The fertility rate among adolescents aged 15-19 years is 32 per 1,000 women (in this age group), which is half the 2014 estimates.
In terms of health care for women during and after pregnancy, the study shows almost universal access to specialists and health care facilities for women throughout Kyrgyzstan.
