Inflation rate in Kyrgyzstan in January-February 2024 was 1%

According to his data, at the same time, prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 1.6%, food products and non-alcoholic drinks - by 1%, and tariffs for services provided to the population - by 2.6%, and prices for non-food products, on the contrary, decreased by 0.3%.

Shokenov added that an increase in consumer prices and tariffs in January-February of this year (compared to December of the previous year) was observed in all regions of the republic, with the exception of the Chui region - a decrease of 0.5% and the Jalal-Abad region of 0.2%.

“At the same time, the maximum increase in prices of 1.5% was recorded in Bishkek, which is due to the largest, in comparison with other regions, increase in tariffs for services provided to the population by 4%,” he said.
