Influenza epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan is stable: ministry

Bishkek, Jan.8, 2025. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan informed about the epidemiological situation on influenza and ARVI in the republic.

According to the operational data of the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, in the 1st week of 2025 (30.12.24-05.01.25g.) 4,245 cases of ARVI and 16 cases of influenza were registered across the republic, 1.9 times lower compared to the last week, the epidemiological situation is stable.

Sentinel surveillance of severe acute respiratory infections (SARS) and influenza-like illnesses (ILI) in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Tokmok continues.

The circulation of acute respiratory viral infections is also observed, with prevalence of MS virus - 31.1% (269), rhinovirus - 25.6% (221 cases), adenovirus - 12.7% (110 cases), parainfluenza I-IV - 11.3% (98 cases), bocavirus - 10% (84 cases), seasonal coronavirus - 9.2% (80 cases) and metapneumovirus - 0.2% (2 cases).

Weekly monitoring of COVID-19 incidence in the country continues. No cases were registered for the 1st week of 2025.

Monitoring and assessment of the epidemiological situation for the incidence of influenza, acute respiratory viral infections and COVID-19 in the republic continues and is under control.
