Inmates of Osh Rehabilitation Center for PWD receive gifts

Osh, Dec. 4, 2020. /Kabar/. In order to mark the International Day o Persons with Disabilities on Dec. 3, Kyrgyzstan’s Health Ministry together with health-care institutions of Osh city provided assistance to patients of the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities with Musculoskeletal Disorders.

Gifts to the children were presented by Osh city Health Coordinator Kyyalbek Tashpolotov.

Addressing the inmates of the Center and their parents, he expressed gratitude to the specialists of this Center and wished good health to its patients.

All 56 children of the Rehabilitation Center received gifts. The center is designed for 70 children with congenital disabilities, 65% of whom are children with cerebral palsy.

The Osh Mayor’s Office announced a month from Nov. 15 to Dec. 15 for providing assistance and support to people with disabilities. On the initiative of Osh Mayor Taalaibek Sarybashov, material and moral assistance is provided to 100 disabled people.

In order to provide assistance and support to 106 low-income and acutely needy disabled people, the local budget provided humanitarian and moral assistance in the form of food.

As of Dec. 1, 2020, there are 7099 people with disabilities living in Osh, including 971 under 18-year-old.
