Bishkek, Nov. 12, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Minister of Internal Affairs Kashkar Dzhunushaliev paid a working visit to the Russian Federation on November 10. During the visit, a meeting was held by Dzhunushaliev with Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia Vladimir Kolokoltsev, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The main topics discussed by the interlocutors, was the implementation of previously reached agreements between the leaders of both states and intergovernmental programs to combat crime.
During the meeting, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two ministries, stressing that at this stage relations are built on a constructive basis.
At the meeting, Kolokoltsev noted the effective interaction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan in all areas of operational activities, both at the bilateral level and in multilateral formats. As a successful form of cooperation, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia cited the “Rozysk” (Russian: Розыск, lit.: Search) Interstate Preventive Operation, the subsequent stage of which took place on October 2-3, 2018.
Then the sides discussed joint work in the framework of an international organization - Interpol, which allows law enforcement agencies to cooperate in 192 countries and offers a wide range of specialized tools for combating terrorism, organized and transnational crime. “The Interpol channel today is the most demanded and universal mechanism of interaction between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and foreign partners,” Kolokoltsev emphasized.
During the meeting, the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement of Cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic of June 16, 2007 was signed, the implementation of which will help consolidate the legal status of representatives of the two institutions in Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
Dzhunushaliev expressed confidence that the agreements reached during the working visit will give a new impetus to the Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation in law enforcement and will benefit the common cause - in the fight against crime, the active interaction of the internal affairs bodies of the two countries.
