Bishkek, Feb. 27, 2018 / Kabar /. 2 706 police officers underwent appropriate punishment for violation of official discipline and committing various crimes in 2017, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic (MIA) reported.
111 employees were dismissed from the Internal Affairs Agencies, 181 were released from their posts and 2,414 were subjected to other disciplinary measures based on MIA's conclusion of official investigations on negative motives.
"During the reporting period, 1,118 materials were sent to the investigative authorities for legal assessment, 956 of which were sent to the Prosecutor's Office. 74 criminal cases have been opened by Internal Investigating Authorities of MIA" the report said.
Among the cases under consideration are 7 cases of extortion of bribes, 7 facts of giving knowingly false information and documents and there are facts of illegal business.
