Interior Ministry refutes rumors that children are being kidnapped in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, July 5, 2018 / Kabar /. The information spread in social networks, as well as on WhatsApp that in Kyrgyzstan, allegedly, someone steal children for sale on the bodies, is not true, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

It is reported that recently audio recordings of calls and information of doubtful origin was distributed on WhatsApp. In particular, this information is being intensively spread on the territories of Osh and Jalal-Abad oblasts.

"We urge citizens not to rely on information received from social networks and other sources, but to rely on official information from the competent authorities," the report said.

Police officers conduct relevant work to identify those who disseminate false information. These persons will be prosecuted, in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic. We ask citizens not to spread unchecked information on the phone or in social networks, but directly address the police.

Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, ask parents not to panic and not to spread unsubstantiated rumors. Today, police regularly monitor information of this kind.
