International Tenors Competition to be held in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Dec.26, 2019./Kabar/. For the first time in history of Kyrgyzstan, an International Tenors Competition named after People's Artist of the USSR Toktonaly Seitaliyev will be held in the country. This became know at today’s meeting, chaired by Minister of Culture, Information and Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic Azamat Jamankulov.

The Culture Ministry jointly with Seitaliyev Public Foundation are organizers of the competition, planned to be held in autumn 2020.

Minister Jamankulov noted the importance of holding in the country the Tenors Competition. According to him, the cultural event will allow young talents to prove themselves and gain good experience.

"The aim is to support talented opera singers, to promote them. The contestants will have the opportunity to share their experience and skills," the minister added.

Toktonaly Seitaliyev is a Kyrgyz opera singer, Honoured Artist of the Kyrgyz SSR, an honorary professor of the Kazakh State Conservatory and winner of the Satylganov State Prize of the Kyrgyz SSR.
