Bishkek, June 24, 2024. /Kabar/. A large-scale event was held in Bishkek on weekend to celebrate the International Day of Yoga.
According to the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office, the event was attended by Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva and Ambassador of India to Kyrgyzstan Shri Arun Kumar Chatterjee.
The celebration of Yoga Day consisted of two components: a mass yoga session on the alley in front of the Kurmanzhan Datka monument and a cultural program. Citizens and guests of the capital joined the ancient physical and spiritual practice. They performed yoga exercises under the guidance of experienced instructors, the report said.
The organizers of the event were the Indian Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Bishkek Mayor’s Office. The purpose of the event is to attract citizens to a healthy lifestyle and active recreation.
