Bishkek, June 12, 2019. /Kabar/. International Greco-Roman wrestling tournament in memory of Raatbek Sanatbayev started in Bishkek, the press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports reported.
Athletes from Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Brazil, Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan take part in the tournament, which is held in the Sports Palace named after Kaba uulu Kojomkul.
“I am glad to greet you at the International Tournament dedicated to the memory of our friend Raatbek Sanatbayev. May the competitions be exciting and the results are fair,” Kanat Amankulov, the director of the State Agency said.
Raatbek Sanatbayev is Honored Master of Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, two-time champion of Asia, two-time silver medalist of the Asian Games, winner of the World Championship, 12-time winner of Grand Prix international tournaments.
