Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2024 . / Kabar / . The international "Heritage. Muras" festival has started its work in Bishkek with the support of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization for Promotion of International Cooperation "Eurasia". Muras".
The event was organized by the initiative group in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, Enactus Kyrgyzstan and the Compass college.
The opening ceremony was attended by former President of Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbaeva, European Union Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Marilyn Josefson, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Youth and Sports Gulbara Abdykalykova, Consul of the Embassy of Azerbaijan Shahin Iskanderov, Director of the Association of Craftsmen Raimkulova Zhypara, Women's Entrepreneurship Development Fund, representatives of various diasporas, designers and eco-activists and youth movements of 7 universities of Kyrgyzstan.
The international festival is a unique artistic platform for the dialog of cultures. It brings together recognized folk art masters from eight countries and eight masters from Kyrgyzstan to share their experience and pass on their knowledge to the younger generation. These masters demonstrate how the use of techniques from their countries' tangible cultural heritage contributes to environmental protection.
The solemn part of the festival was opened by former Kyrgyz President Roza Otunbaeva, who noted the importance of preserving the cultural heritage and traditions of the Kyrgyz people.
The festival will be held for 2 more days and includes various events such as exhibitions of original masters, master classes on traditional crafts, eco-fashion shows and cultural program. Special attention is paid to experimental formats that create new opportunities for interaction with cultural heritage.
