Bishkek, Dec. 18, 2018. /Kabar/. About 700 thousand citizens of Kyrgyzstan are in external labor migration, Deputy Chairman of the State Migration Service Samat Toktobolotov told at an event dedicated to the International Migrants Day.
In his opinion, migration issues are very relevant for Kyrgyzstan.
“About 600 thousand citizens of Kyrgyzstan work in Russia, in connection with which representative offices of the State Migration Service have opened in the capital of the Russian Federation Moscow, Khabarovsk, Tyumen and Novosibirsk, etc. We are also negotiating the opening of our offices in countries such as Kazakhstan, the Republic of Korea, and European countries,” Toktobolotov said.
He also said that the service is working to support labor migrants abroad and to protect their rights.
