Bishkek, Aug. 27, 2021 / Kabar /. The international sports games of the CIS and SCO countries will be held on September 4-12 in Issyk-Kul. The event will be attended by non-professional athletes from the CIS countries, China, Mongolia and Pakistan.
The total number of participants in these mass starts will exceed 2000 people. All of them have passed the preliminary qualifying rounds in their countries and will compete in Issyk-Kul in 20 sports: darts, mini-football, mass-wrestling, table tennis, swimming, volleyball, streetball, arm wrestling, athletics, athletics mass race, beach soccer, beach volleyball, wrestling, beach rugby, sumo wrestling.
In addition to traditional competitions, athletes will be able to try their hand at the national wrestling "Alysh" (belt battle) and take part in the "Baatyr Issyk-Kul" competition. Competitions are held among men and women in different age groups.
The motto of the competition - "Asia is a region of commonwealth and peace" - gathers in Kyrgyzstan not only athletes, but coaches and experts from the professional community who will discuss the prospects for the development and popularization of mass sports. Famous athletes from the CIS countries are honored guests of the competition.
The tournament was organized by the Kyrgyz Republican Council of the Voluntary Physical Culture and Sports Society of Trade Unions with the support of the IFES and the Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan.
The opening ceremony of the Games will take place on September 5, 2021 in the village Baktuu Dolonotu, Issyk-Kul region in the Caprice recreation center.
