Bishkek, Feb. 19, 2020. / Kabar /. A group of six leading English and Russian speaking travel bloggers and active users of social networks are in Kyrgyzstan.
The country’s Ministry of Culture said that bloggers and users of social networks will be offered a fascinating and unique tour specially prepared by the Kyrgyz Community Based Tourism Association (KCBTA), which will include active types of winter tourism, such as skiing and snowboarding, freeriding, paragliding, and visits to skiing bases, natural attractions and cultural events, representing Kyrgyzstan as an attractive country for winter travel.
In the mountains, the group will be accompanied by an experienced guide of the Kyrgyz Mountain Guide Association, a member of the International Federation of Mountain Guide Associations (IFMGA).
The 10-day tour has begun with the participation of bloggers in the Alpine Skiing Festival at the ZIL ski resort, after which travelers will visit the Chunkurchak Gorge and its ski resort and Supara ethno-resort, experience undeveloped slopes in Ak-Suu and Zhyrgalan, get acquainted with the history and culture of the Kyrgyz people visiting many cultural and historical sites along the way.
During and at the end of the tour, travel bloggers will prepare fascinating online content with photo and video materials about their impressions in Kyrgyzstan for their audience in order to inspire their subscribers and lovers of winter types of tourism and travel to visit Kyrgyzstan in the near future.
“I was pleasantly surprised by the infrastructure of winter tourism in Kyrgyzstan. Traveling here in winter is much easier than I expected. If you add to this the natural beauty and hospitality of the Kyrgyz people, then Kyrgyzstan becomes a phenomenal place for a winter trip,” said Jarryd Salem, a famous travel blogger from Australia, who shares his first impressions.
“The infrastructure of winter tourism in Kyrgyzstan impresses me. Chairlifts and ski resorts are quite developed, and the combination of winter active types of tourism with the cultural features of the country makes Kyrgyzstan truly unique. I have never had such a vivid winter experience,” said Alex Reynolds, a travel blogger from the United States.

The study tour was organized by the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism in partnership with a project funded by the Swiss government (through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs - SECO) on sustainable development of winter tourism and the USAID project on competitiveness, trade and job creation places in Central Asia.
