Internet publications of Kyrgyzstan publish more than 1,000 materials on COVID-19 per month, most of which are provided by the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the country Chyngyz Esengul uulu said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He noted that the Republican Headquarters has the function of informing the population on issues related to COVID-19.
"The main purpose of the channel is to change citizens' attitudes towards vaccination and COVID-19 disease," the deputy minister said.
In addition, Chyngyz Esengul uulu stressed that since the beginning of the pandemic, the HQ has established a channel of communication with public and private television and radio companies, radio stations, Internet publications and print media.
"Since the beginning of the year, 100 news and informational materials about the situation with COVID-19 and methods of treatment and prevention of the disease have been broadcasted on national and regional TV channels. 150 audio-visual and textual information materials were developed and disseminated on different platforms of the Republican Headquarters. Several animation materials were also created,” the official added.
Besides, the deputy minister of culture said that the Headquarters has established feedback.
"Every day we receive more than 1,000 messages on the official channels. Individual content on each issue is prepared with the involvement of medical specialists," Chyngyz Esengul uulu concluded.
