Bishkek, June 27, 2019. /Kabar/.The international chess tournament in memory of Leonid Yurtayev, the first grandmaster of the Kyrgyz Republic took place in Cholpon-Ata town, Issyk-Kul Oblast, the press service of the Chess Federation reported.
160 chess players from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan participated in the competition. The prize fund was $ 2000.
The competition was held according to FIDE rules on the Swiss system in 9 rounds.
Mikhail Markov, Tilek Takyrbashev and Mutriba Hotami (Tajikistan) won the gold medals. Kyrgyzstanis Arzybek Siezdbekov and Ruslan Siezdbekov became the second ant the third, respectively. Nazib Idrisov was the best among children.
