Introducing of peacekeeping forces is not being considered – Kyrgyz MFA

Bishkek, April 30, 2021. / Kabar /. First Secretary of the First Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ermek Kyshtobaev at a press conference in told what negotiations are being held to resolve the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.

He noted that any issue of the introduction of peacekeeping forces to resolve the conflict situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border is not being considered.

The official also said that at the moment, neither Kyrgyzstan nor Tajikistan has sent a note of protest to each other.

Kyshtobaev added that Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and Tajikistan Sirodjiddin Mukhriddin are in constant contact.

“The heads of the foreign affairs agencies are constantly in touch. The parties are discussing joint actions aimed at resolving this situation,” he said.

Kyshtobaev, answering the question, noted that on April 29, the foreign ministers had three telephone conversations.
