Osh, Mar. 14, 2019. /Kabar/. Vice mayor of Osh Jasur Azimov met representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The meeting was also attended by employees of the Mayor's Office, heads of relevant organizations and services closely cooperating with the EBRD, including the heads of the Investment and Innovation Fund and the Osh-Tazalyk.
During the meeting, the special contribution of the donor community – the European Union and the Swiss Government to the development of the city's infrastructure, as well as improving the quality of services provided to the population through ongoing projects to improve the lives of citizens was noted.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on further ways of implementing projects in various areas, including improving public transport, managing solid household waste, as well as implementing the second phase of the project to improve the city’s water supply system.
The EBRD has invested over 18 million euros in the development of the infrastructure of the city of Osh. All projects are implemented with grant support from the European Union and the Government of Switzerland, the total amount of grants is more than 17 million euros, as well as more than 4 million euros for technical assistance.
