Bishkek, March 17, 2021 / Kabar /. Director of the State Agency for the Investments Promotion and Protection Almambet Shykmamatov met with the Secretariat of the Council for Business Development and Investment under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, headed by Talaibek Koichumanov.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the interaction of the business community and the agency as a fundamental body for attracting investments and promoting exports.
The meeting was attended by the heads of 10 leading business associations, represented by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan, the International Business Council, the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic, the JIA Business Association, the National Alliance of Business Associations, the Association "Union of Jewelers and entrepreneurs of the Kyrgyz Republic ”, the Association of Small Hydroelectric Power Plants, the Institute of Business Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Association of Suppliers of Kyrgyzstan and the Association of Fisheries of Kyrgyzstan.
The participants of the meeting expressed views on the need to build the capacity of public-private dialogue.
It should be emphasized that representatives of business associations noted their positive point of view regarding the forthcoming reforms in the field of investments and the strengthening of the role of the Investments Agency.
Shykmamatov, invited the representatives of business associations to jointly work out the existing barriers in such sectors of the economy as small energy, jewelry and fisheries.
Also, it was noted about the need to introduce digitalization into the activities of state bodies, which will improve and simplify business activities.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed on further joint work to develop a Strategy for the development of the country's investment activities.
